What can I say about old school games. I grew up in the 1980s and am a HUGE fan of Sierra Online and their Quest series. I pay homage to one of my top favourite game series of all time Space Quest in my Dr. Vex series of books. I dunno, I just loved the idea of a space fast food place and Monolith Burger had a great ring to the name. Believe it or not but the music they incorporated to "brand" the restaurant in the game is very catchy.
Giving credit where credit is due: All hail Sierra Online for creating this iconic fictional interstellar greasy fast food chain! This is my reference and inspiration. BTW I draw inspiration and reference from many pop-culture things from my past (mostly 80s and 90s) in my writing. See how many you can pick out.
